Born in Nantou in 1981. He is an emerging artist whose work stands out as being calm and understated. He started working with sound in 2005. Aside from pure sound work and audio-visual work, he has been experimenting with sound installation.

Yung-Ta Chang now lives and works in Taipei. In April 2008, he will head to Japan as an internship in YCAM Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media.

noiz copy step 4

This is a combination of four sequences. The name ‘noiz copy’ describes the process of collaging noise patterns which vary across their duration. In this process, what is important for me is the harmony between noises, with crossing visual. What I want to present is an imaginary space for sound and vision, condensing the visual into ‘gap-like’ long lines to prevent it from overpowering.
